Dr. Kosmidis Kosmas

Professor of Finance

Assistant Professor Kosmidis Kosmas is a graduate of the Economics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with postgraduate studies in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He is an Assistant Professor of Applications at the Department of Management Science & Technology of  Democritus University of Thrace. He has worked as a business and bank executive in the private and public sector, while he has been a Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of different companies. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of a well-known dairy industry in Greece. He has participated as a member of various programs funded by the European Union.

His research interests focus on creative accounting, forecasting corporate bankruptcy, choosing accounting methods, accounting for business valuation, risk management, banking and agency theory. He is a member of the Scientific Committees of the “Management of International Business and Economics Systems” and “National Congress of Management and Economics”. 

Dr. Kosmidis Kosmas teaches at the Department of Management Science & Technology of Democritus University of Thrace undergratuate as well as postgraduate classes.
